REEL PHASE: Center voice perception on giant screens
Thanks to its central sound hologram, the Reel Phase arm chair reproduces the audio center in phase with the center of the image on any giant screen.
The new generation of giant televisions, boosted by the widespread adoption of 4K/UHD video sources, allows viewers to sit closer for an immersive experience in film or concert action. However, this comes at the expense of a phase misalignment between sound and image.
In cinemas, the central speaker, which delivers 70% of the sound, is located behind the acoustically transparent screen displaying the projected image. Sound passes through the screen, seeming to come directly from the mouths of actors during dialogues. This historical setup provides perfect phase alignment for spoken dialogue and precise localization of all central events.
However, the panels of giant TVs cannot accommodate a central speaker in the middle of the screen, as the sound cannot pass through it. Central sounds come from below the screen where the speakers are located, causing voices to feel disconnected from the dialogue due to this phase shift.
In the audio armchair, the central channel is reproduced in « discreet » mode, with the summed-phase sound hologram perceived in the center of the screen, directly in front of the listener, with strength and naturalness. This setup enables the listener to sit closer to the screen for an immersive experience, with perfect phase alignment between central sounds and the image, an innovation made possible by the audio armchair.

V.R.S.F.: Replacing room acoustics with a perfect digital acoustic
It is impossible to implement ideal acoustic treatments at home for optimal sound reproduction.
Non-optimized acoustics can greatly distort sound.
The patented V.R.S.F. technology eliminates the acoustics of the room and replaces them with a perfect acoustic environment.
The audio armchair performs optimally in any room, providing the listener with sound perceived as perfect.
This digital acoustics system can be adjusted based on the type of content or music being played, whether slow or fast. An organ can sound as though it is in a church acoustic, while rock music can be played in a dry acoustic setting, highlighting the attack of drums.
The Virtual Reverberated Field Sound concept was patented in 2021 exclusively for the audio armchair, and it stands as one of its major strengths.

C.T.C.: Speaker mapping to recreate a spacious listening environment
The integrated speakers in the audio armchair provide an expanded auditory perception thanks to spatial mapping. This technology offers the sensation of speakers positioned about 3.5 meters in front of the chair.
This mapping is based on modifying the perception of crosstalk through the acoustic shadow of the listener’s face (using generic HRTF samples).
Listeners enjoy optimal audio quality with an ideal 60° listening triangle at a distance of 3.5 meters. The compact size of the armchair allows one or more chairs to be placed in front of new-generation giant screens, creating a compact audio/video space compatible with small rooms.
This method is an advanced derivative of Cross Talk Cancellation techniques, used here through FIR filters integrated into our digital audio signal processors.
Note: The ideal viewing distance for a 4K UHD video source is 42°, or approximately 1.2 times the screen diagonal. With an 85-inch screen, the audio armchair would be placed just 2.6 meters away. Two audio chairs can be placed in front of an 85-inch screen at these short distances without any degradation of central sounds.

Perception of panoramic sounds in 2-channel Hi-Fi
In the audio armchair, the proximity of the speakers offers direct, perfect-phase listening, creating a sound hologram in front of the listener, with flawless panoramic imaging as intended by the sound engineer. This approach also avoids common phase/in-phase transition issues, preserving natural sound.
Holographic listening is one of the greatest strengths of the audio armchair.
This feature allows 5.1 sources to be heard with a perfect center on giant TVs or screens. The off-axis angle of the screen does not affect the perception of the center sound.
.
Low noise pollution
The near-field listening experience, due to the short speaker-to-listener distance, allows the same sound intensity to be felt with one-quarter of the volume of a traditional speaker system. This enables high-intensity listening without disturbing the surroundings. One can watch a movie or listen to music at high volume in an apartment late at night, without bothering neighbors.
.
Pure sound motion
Near-field listening masks ambient noise, and the purity of the embedded speakers’ sound is always perceived as the priority by the brain, relegating external sound events to the background. Combined with uncompromising sound processing in terms of phase magnitude and distortion, the listener’s perception is one of absolute purity.
.
Compatibility with pure stereo or multi-channel sources
The audio armchair accepts all kinds of sources, whether stereo or multi-channel, up to 9.2 native or virtualized 5.1; this way, users can enjoy all types of content, from pure Hi-Fi audio to the latest Atmos generations.
Simplicity: All of these embedded technologies are aimed solely at ease of use and listening pleasure. The audio chair is instinctively controlled via its touch remote on all iOS devices. The TV-to-chair connection is optical, and dematerialized sources can also be played via Wi-Fi through Airplay 2.
